Welcome to the  North of England Critical Care Network

The North of England Critical Care Network (NoECCN) was established in July 2009 as a result of a merger between North East and Cumbria (NE&CCCN) and Tees Valley and South Durham Critical Care Networks (TV&SDCCN).

Both previous networks were established in February 2001 and have evolved into successful managed clinical networks with engagement and representation from all its organizations.

The new network is to be funded by equal contributions from all NE organizations, and also North Cumbria Acute Trust.

North of England Critical Care Network support to the Intensive Care Foundation
The Intensive Care Foundation aims to save lives by funding research into new treatments  for all critically ill patients.  There are two main reasons for supporting research in this area - one to save lives as 1 in 4 people die in ICU; the other is to improve the quality of life of patients who survive intensive care.
